Touch Football Carnival

02.09.20

On Wednesday, 2 September, Year Six students attended the SACPSSA Touch Football Carnival.

Students played in teams of six, participating in six different games throughout the day. In PE lessons at school students have been developing Touch Football skills and tactics, allowing for a successful day of participation and lots of wins!

Some students even said at the end of the day: “I scored 17 tries today!”

As part of this day, St Martin de Porres School entered two teams in the Elite Section Competition, playing against the best Year Six players from other schools. The Elite teams had been practicing hard, coming to practice at school at 8:00am once or twice a week in the lead up to the Carnival. Overall, the Elite Boys finished 5th and the Elite Girls finishing 2nd runner up to St Thomas, Goodwood.
