Welcome back to Term 2!

29.04.21

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to Term 2!
If you haven’t had the chance please feel welcome to have a look and walkthrough of our new Reception classrooms and facilities. It is a wonderful space where we have embraced the natural impulse to nurture our youngest learners and where the design has been shaped by teaching and learning for the 21st Century.

Year 4 Camp
This week I attended the Year 4 Camp at Arbury Park. This is a purpose-built campsite run by the Education Department. It was great to see the children so “active in the bush”.

Building Works Update
There are four building projects currently underway.

Project 1. Completion of the Early Years outside areas will continue until May. Once completed there will be some new plans for entering the school site.
Project 2. The Berrima Road upgrade is a Marion Council / School initiative making it a one-way street with new parking spaces. This is expected to be completed by the end of April.
Project 3. New playground equipment will be installed over the next four weeks.
Project 4. A digital screen will be installed at the bottom of our school oval facing Lonsdale Highway.

School Sport Program
The Term 2 and Term 3 afterschool sport program starts next week. We have the following teams: 5 (AFL) Football teams, 5 Soccer teams and 3 Netball teams. Auskick will start on Monday, 24 May.

The following staff are involved in coaching some of the mentioned teams; Mr Fosdike, Mr Labbozzetta, Mr Mills, Mrs Carey and Mr Catalano.
