On Tuesday, 21 September our Year 6 students hosted 'Market Day' for school staff and students. This links to the HASS, Business & Economics Curriculum where they are learning about the purpose of business and the different ways that businesses choose to provide goods and services. Students were able to apply their knowledge and skills by creating their own business. Students had to conduct market research, develop a business plan, strategies, write a business proposal, advertise their stall and then review their business once they have calculated profit and loss.
The day was a great success! With all classes and staff having the opportunity to browse and purchase from the stalls, nearly all stalls completely sold out of their stock. Thank you to all students who supported our entrepreneurs with their business ventures, and well done to the Year Six students on a successful day of hands on learning!
