On Tuesday 19 October, 38 Children received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the first of three Sacraments the children will receive on their way to full membership in the Catholic Church.
The story of the Forgiving Father was the major theme that we reflected upon during the Reconciliation workshops.
The children could identify with the son in the story because we have all let people down, but God as the forgiving father is so overjoyed to forgive his child that he throws a party.
The children were supported by Fr Michael who led the ceremony, and Fr Dominick, Fr Anthony Kain, and Monsignor Ian Dempsey. We congratulate these children and look forward to them continuing their journey towards Confirmation and First Communion in 2022.
